October 2 Sea Day in the Pacific Ocean

October 2 heading to New Zealand, the first of 4 sea days in the Pacific

October 2 At Sea

Well we slept in today, and it was an ‘at sea day’ so it seemed fitting that we should take advantage of a slower pace. When I did pull myself out of bed I was well rested and restless, so I headed to the gym, walked a couple miles on the treadmill, and used the stationary bike for a couple of miles. Now I can enjoy some of the amazing food on this cruise.

Speaking of food, take a look at these amazing dishes, the delicious food, and the beautiful presentation! It really is spectacular...so good you can eat it ha!

We went to a presentation on the history of Auckland, which will be one of our two stops in New Zealand in a few days. It was interesting; looking forward to exploring the city. I’ve been there before, but that was 19 years ago, so it’s likely changed a bit!

We had lunch in the Dining Room, nice service, wonderful staff. And then we just lounged around, reading, people-watching (oh this is SO much fun on a cruise ship; we imagine the lives of some of these people...) and relaxing. A lazy sea day, for sure.

We watched the sun set, another beautiful sunset.

And then of course it was time to eat again, in the BLU Restaurant. The show this evening was Andy Joy, a talented musician and entertainer. He plays multiple instruments, and plays them very well.

After the show we hung out in the Casino for a bit. I had a adult beverage or two...and then we went to returned to our cabin and crashed! Another wonderful day, biking the Pacific!! And that’s a wrap...more to come. Carol on the go...
