October 9 At Sea South Pacific

October 9 at sea, South Pacific

semi-overcast

Slept in, a lazy start to the day. Had room service bring us some hot water for tea, a plate of fruit and some croissants. We were feeling tired and decided to just relax for the morning. We went to the Persian Garden (spa) for a sauna and then relaxed on the heated ceramic lounge chairs. Back to the room we showered and started our day.

After lunch in the Dining Room, we attended a show in the Theatre, with two acts: Evergreen Duo and Chiko Pineda. Both were very entertaining, awesome singing. Evergreen Duo was a male on guitar and a female singer; they sang many popular songs. Chiko Pineda was a singer with a strong voice...he invited Daniel Mallari (singer from yesterday’s show) to join him for a song which absolutely rocked the packed audience. What a show!!

It was Chic Night tonight, which means dress up night, a bit formal. So nice to see people in festive attire and mood (we forgot to get our picture taken!). Along with that comes a more ‘formal’ dining experience...lobster dinner!! WOW! Such delicious, mouth-watering, juicy lobster!!

The evening show featured the Oz Boyz, Australia’s Motown BOYS! It was a walk down memory lane with songs from past decades, which they performed VERY well. So fun!

And then it was a visit to the Casino to watch the big Poker Tournament before we crashed for the night. It was our second last sea day; one more tomorrow and then we arrive at Sydney! That’s a wrap on the day, more to come...Carol on the go!
