At Sea October 17 & 18

Two more Sea Days! The routine doesn’t vary all that much on Sea Days so combining two days in one blog post.

We are traveling in fairly calm seas between New Castle and Airlie Beach, Australia. When we get to Cairn‘s we will be snorkeling for a full day so we have been attending sessions on snorkeling and on the Great Barrier Reef. These sessions have been presented by Celia Garland, the ship’s on board Naturalist. She is very knowledgeable and gives one hour sessions without using any notes. Her slides are very good and we’ve learned a lot about the Great Barrier Reef.

We attended a Captains Club invitation-only cocktail party and met some other travelers and met the captain.

There were two evening shows which we attended, one with the Oz Boys of Motown, a lively and energetic song and dance performance. We had seen them on a previous cruise and it was good enough to see again!

The other show was a magician from Australia who has won awards and recognition around the world. His name is Tim Ellis and he was amazing!!

Anyway that’s a quick summary of the past two sea days. Tomorrow we spend the day in Airlie Beach! Should be a beautiful day, supposed to be 30+ C so we will be bringing out the sunscreen!
And that’s a wrap, more to come...Carol on the go
