September 25 At Sea - Pacific Ocean

Sea Day 1 out of 5 in the Pacific Ocean

September 25 At Sea, Pacific Ocean

Awoke to a beautiful sunny day, and headed for the track where I walked 1.5 miles to start my day. This is happening only because the ship’s food is so amazing and I don’t want to buy a whole new wardrobe...so I try to exercise to keep my weight in a manageable range. I hope my plan will work, because the food is amazing!!

After the track we spent a little time on the stationary bike because this is a bike trip, right? And the did a few lengths in the pool. So refreshing!!

It was a lazy day, a nice day to relax and just enjoy the first sea day! We had a light lunch in the pool ‘healthy food’ station, and then just hung out at the pool side for the rest of the day. There is an indoor pool, and an outdoor pool. We prefer to hang out in the inside pool where we don’t get the direct rays of the sun and it is air conditioned so we have a moderate temperature rather than the searing rays of the sun...just a healthier choice. The pools are lovely, well serviced by the staff and we are enjoying the opportunity to relax.

In the afternoon we went to BINGO! Ha it was so fun; the fellow who runs it is from the Philippines and has a sense of humour. Sadly we didn’t win this time, but there’s more bingo on Friday!

We had dinner in the BLU restaurant, the exclusive restaurant for the ‘Aqua Class’ clients, seems we fit into that category based on the accommodations that we purchased for this part of the trip. It’s a nice touch, good food, lovely staff and great service.

We went to the late evening show, ‘Broken Strings’, a lovely and moving productions put on by the cast of the Celebrity Solstice. We enjoyed it very much! So talented!

Then we listened to the Captain’s Address in main area, called Celebrity Central. And then we crashed, tired from the first day at sea!

There are 5 full days at sea, this was just the first...more to come, Carol on the go
